Short Stories with Clever Names

So this blog is just a couple things that have gone on. Nothing cool...or even interesting to read. Jsut stuff...the stuff blogs are made of.

There and Blech again...A Story by JJ Brenner.

So I needed a quick lunch the other day, so I went to McDonalds and ordered a burger. The Big 'n Tasty was the name of it. Talk about false advertising. Now, to prep the story, I haven't been to McDonalds for food in like...6 months so I've forgotten the taste of it. Or lack of one thereof. Anyways, I sit down, take a bite of my burger. Totally tasteless. I think...maybe its just one bite. So I take another, blech. So I returned the burger. I said, "I think somethings wrong with this burger, it doesn't taste right." So they give me a different one. I bite it and realize, its not the burger, its the place the burger came from. It certainly wasn't a cow. It was McDonalds. McDonalds is serving comepletely tasteless burgers and getting away with it. And to top it off, people pay for them. Man...what a racket. The only hope for those burgers is to be slathered in some kinda sauce and choked down with plenty of soda...or maybe beer. Nah...just don't eat at McDonalds.

The End

Cool Guns Make for Good Fun...A Story by JJ Brenner

So I wanted to write a blog about my favorite weapons for video games over the past few years. Here's what I've come up with...a Top 5 and why.

Number 5...The Shotgun from Half-Life 1/2.
This gun makes the list because of its sheer innovation. Think, being able to unload 2 shells with a single click of the trigger. No more pumping the gun to load that second shell into a stalwart opponent. Just right click your problems away.

Number 4...Remote/Proximity Mines from GoldenEye 007 on the Nintendo 64.
Anyone who played this game knows what I mean. Playing catch with mines, oh yeah!

Number 3...The Lightsaber from Jedi Knight 1/2 and Jedi Academy.
Never before could you wield a lightsaber in a game. Now you can. Dark Forces II: Jedi Knight was the actual title of the first game to use the lightsaber. You played at Kyle Katarn, the hero from the first DF game. In this one, you aquire the lightsaber of a dead lightside jedi who gave it to your father. You then, pretty much train yourself in the ways of the force, choosing either light or dark and kicking lots of Jedi butt. Great games if anyone wants to know. JK2 made lightsaber combat even better by having a simple combo system and implemented stylish moves into the wielding of a saber. Awesome!!!

Number 2...The AWP from Counter-Strike.
One shot, one kill. Nuf said. In the hands of a good shot, this gun is unstoppable. i was playing once and could only see an enemies hand from where I was standing, I shot him in the hand and killed him. Yeah, that's how powerful this rifle is. Too bad its so slow between shots. The AWP name comes from its original CS name. The Artic Warfare Pistol. Which makes no sense because its a huge rifle. So they changed the name to the Artic Warfare Magnum. But everyone still calls it the AWP. Yeah....its a good gun.

And now for Number 1...The Precision Rifle from Red Faction.
This under-rated game has the single best weapon ever created for a game. This game also has a very extensive weapon set that gave you several types of a certain weapon so you could pick your favs. This rifle has it all. A 5x zoom for basic sniping, lots of power to drop targets fast, and semi-auto fire rates. You can use it for assault, you can use it for mid-range sniping, and with a little skill, long range sniping. The best weapon ever created for a game. Period.

The End

Thanks for reading my random thoughts. Oh yeah!

McD's - I'm with ya man. You pretty much get what you pay for, LOL. Buuut, I still love it =). I will always love their hamburgers for some reason. I honestly don't know why. I just do. Maybe it's the fond memories? The Happy Meal? Maybe some day a new owner will overhaul the meat quality, lol.

As for proximity mines - oh my gosh, I WISH they would make a game like that again. That may possibly be my favorite game EVER.

Thanks for the updates yo. Hope you're feeling better. Colds suck =)

I too had to comment on the proximity mines. I love putting them on the ammo boxes then picking up the ammo, and then no one could see the mine. I was so sneeky. Or you could put it on the glass and then shoot the class. Wow, what a fun game!

Wow, this is quite possibly the most hilarious blog i ever read in a long time.

I liked the remote mines cause you could throw them at someone and explode them in midair by pressing A and B at the same time (at least, i think that was how you did it)...

My brothers' screams of horror and unbelief as their screen suddenly became blood red still ring in my ears...
